Bron stans are most definitely one of the bigger proponents of Steph hate on this board. You're only arguing otherwise because you yourself are a Bron stan, and like to think that you and your kinfolk aren't hating on him like that, but y'all are. Believe you me, I've been on this board a lot longer than you and have been involved in an infinite amount more of exchanges to know. You've only been on here since 2017, so you never witnessed want went down in 2015 and 2016.
You say that Steph stans are "100% the whiniest, crying-est, most complaining Stanbase on here" when this isn't even remotely close to being true. For the amount of hate Steph receives on this board, his stans are quiet and reserved, in relation. There's only about 3-4 posters that actually go in to bat for Steph on the regular, and the other posters (who align themselves with Steph/GS) don't even bother with all the drama. The GS fanbase, itself, is one of the more low-key groups on here, especially given the success they've had over the last better part of a decade. They stick to their season thread. You're letting recency bias cloud your judgement here, well, that and the fact that you're a Bron stan and will never acknowledge that the group you're a part of is more whiny, complains and cries more than whatever you think Steph stans are and do.
You're a Steph Stan, I'm a Bron Stan. I have no issue with Steph the player, whether you have an issue with Bron the player, don't know and don't really care. I'm a Day One Steph fan---->I was in prison in NC when he took Davidson on that tourney run, had everyone out here riding with him including myself. When he got drafted I like most of NC was riding for him, and he has far exceeded what I thought he'd be coming outta college...
I probably have as much of a generic connection to him as anyone on here, for the length of time I've followed and supported him, I just never became a superfan/Stan...
I used to live in South Charlotte almost a direct 8-mile shot from where Steph grew up, and when I lived in South Charlotte 2013-15, was when he was burgeoning as a superstar in this league, he has always had tremendous support at home in The Q...
I never developed as a Steph superfan, just for no reason other than I didn't. My rooting interest with LeBron from the 2013-14 season on (because I wasn't much of a fan and certainly not a "stan" before then) would have been him over anyone, it just happened to be Steph and the Warriors he met in The Finals, but I always loved Steph, and still do...
I'm a Bron Stan, a Tony Parker Stan, a Deshaun Watson Stan, a Charles Woodson Stan, the only real difference is I wasn't active on here when my favorite athletes were playing mostly, and given everything that's gone on with Deshaun over the last 15 months, the only one of my favorite All-Time athletes still around is Bron...
I'm a Jay Z Stan, a Rick Ross Stan, a Clipse (not Pusha T) Stan, a Nipsey Hussle Stan, a Michael Jackson Stan, a Kehlani Stan, a Corinne Baily Rae Stan, a Nao Stan, a Hall & Oates Stan, only difference is I'm even more passionate about my sports interests than my music interests so yall hear about them more...
I love the engagement but I don't love the condescension when we have these conversations, you have a habit at not being able to view the man in the mirror...
And besides the players I "stan", there are plenty of athletes, MANY, that I thoroughly enjoy or have enjoyed when they played. My "standom" of Bron doesn't take away from my ability to enjoy other players or basketball as a whole...
I have a way that I evaluate all upper echelon players, no one is exempt from that if you've proven yourself to be that. Steph has long proven himself as an All-Timer, I have a standard of performance accountability that I hold him to that every other player of historical greatness I hold to as well. You confuse that as something it isn't.
