I'm asking because my only reference for the inner workings of a long-time relationship right now are my parents and I've NEVER seen them do anything like that. Maybe they do a good job of hiding it? From childhood to visiting every now and then, I've never seen it. I've seen them banter, I've seen them light up when talking to one another, and I hear the pet names and ego massaging. Zero contact though.
For a bit of context, neither are ugly gang and my dad isn't a betabux. He's ex-military, could that have hardened him?

If this sort of thing is the norm, being GMB and juggling a new woman every now and then for the honeymoon phase seems like the move. Maybe marrying a doormat and cheating in peace if you're absolutely set on building a traditional family. How are you 10+ year committed relationship brehs handling it?

We both initiate. Last night as we were sitting on the couch I rubbed my wife's feet and she reached out for my hand probably around fives times or so either to hold it or gently rub it for a minute or two while we each played on our phones. Lots of nights she'll just wear a t-shirt to bed so that we can get some skin to skin private contact, and if I roll away and on to my back, she'll occasionally fondle me. She wasn't raised in an affectionate household and neither was I, but I am a very physical person by nature and she's come around to it with me as we've grown together over the years.

Sometimes work, kids, and life gets in the way of it but you have to knowingly check in sometimes. My wife has learn to do it with me and I’ve learned to do it with her.
