As adults all of our schedules are packed.

I'd love to work out twice a day, how are y'all able to find the time and not sacrifice family, work and more importantly - SLEEP?

If you work the normal 9-5 one way to do it would be to get up early and do a quick little cardio workout then get in a lifting session after work. If you're trying to lose weight or get swole two a days is overkill. I bench damn there 500 lbs and have only worked out 3 times a week for years.

Only people doing true 2 a days are juicing

But I know people that do like 30 minutes of cardio in the morning and lift in the evening

Easy, on a day off I go work out in the morning and then again in the late afternoon/night time.

HIIT in the morning

weight lifting at night

or vice versa

I have a pretty favorable situation.

I work half days on tues and thurs so I can hot the weights twice on them days.

I also have an airdyne bike in my basement so I can use that in the morning before work. And in the evening I'll just hit the gym

Before and after work. But when I do it's a real slight workout, maybe like 30 minutes

After becoming 90lbs overweight i realized the only way I could maximize my workouts before my wedding this summer was to try two a days. My fiancé prefers the am workouts and it's really helped that both our alarms go off at 5:55am.

I teach at a university, so I'm only at work for classes and office hours. Thanks to the routine we started in January I'm still able to wake up around 6am and get my first hour workout in while I'm off I'm for the summer. Second workout is usually around 4pm right before gym gets too busy.

I probably only hit the gym twice like that 4x a week, but again, this is because I'm trying to be as aggressive about this body transformation as possible. You brehs who are already in shape shouldn't need to be there nearly as much I would imagine. I plan to go about 3-4x a week when I hit my goal. Even with a lot of free time, 2-3 hours at the gym everyday just doesn't seem sustainable over a long period.

It's easy for me....I wake up insanely early however....Usually around 0315 and I'm in the gym by 345. So that first iteration will be from 0345-0530...Than after that I'll do Army PT from 0600-0700 daily Monday-Friday and I've been doing this for about 3 years now except for this last recent year in which I was in South Korea.

0345-0530:

Su:45 minute Cardio and accessory work (Pushups/Sit-ups/Pull-ups/Dips/Abs)
M: 5 x 10 Deadlift/ OH Push Press/ Dumbbell Row and upper body accessory work
T: Rest
W: 10 x 5 Squat/Bench Press/Deadlift and back accessory work
Th:Rest
F: Stretching and 20 minutes of cardio
Sa: 5 x 5 Bench Press/Squat/Deadlift and leg accessory work

PT 0600-0700:
M:Long duration cardio
T:Calistenics
W:HIIT
T:Crossfit stuff
F:Long Duration run or ruck march
S:Rest
S:Rest

A lot of the days during PT I'm not going 100% for the duration of the hour because on average it takes about 10-15 for the class to conduct PRT until they get into the actual workout portion and than they have to conduct the recovery drill which is another 15 minutes....So out of that 1 hr it's usually only about 25 minutes of actual work....

But the BLUF is to just get up and go....But the most important thing is to listen to your body...If your body is aching for you to only go 1 time or to take a rest day listen...

M-F I do mobility work, stetching, and light core in the morning. Wednesday I also do heavy cardio.

Lifting schedule has been reduced to Monday, Friday, Saturday. The other days I hoop for a long ass time, like 2-3 hours after lifting or 3 hours on non lifting days. Always finish the last workout of the day with a yoga cook down and sometimes additional yin yoga for up to an hour.

In the best shape I've ever been in from a wholistic health standpoint. And I did D1 college track so I have a pretty high threshold for that.
