Most people don't realize what's actually being said. Poor comprehension.

It says we SHARE a common ancestor.

If it makes you feel better, that common ancestor was a human. Some of those humans chose environments which allowed them to continue being human.

Others chose or fell victim to environments and influences that caused them to "devolve" to what we know as apes.

Adaptation

"In evolutionary theory, adaptation is the biological mechanism by which organisms adjust to new environments or to changes in their current environment."

I don't know why you're acting like adaptation has nothing to do with evolution when it's a huge part of the science behind evolution.

Definition of ADAPTATION

Adaptation

3: adjustment to environmental conditions: such as
a: adjustment of a sense organ to the intensity or quality of stimulation
b: modification of an organism or its parts that makes it more fit for existence under the conditions of its environment : a heritable physical or behavioral trait that serves a specific function and improves an organism's fitness or survival
You should probably reread what you just posted, then post the actual defintion of "evolution" and read that

All i said was that adaptation and evolution are not the same thing. Your post just reaffirmed that

A better picture for the slow:

Let's say humans been around for billions of years. They looked more like us, maybe a little shorter but pretty much like us.

Several hundred million years ago the surface of the earth was being bombarded by radiation from solar flares.

Part of the humans made it underground which shielded them from the radiation. Thus they remained human.

The other part of the human population didn't go underground because they were Republicans and they didn't believe the flares would harm them. They thought the government just wanted to control them. So they were exposed to all that radiation which caused them to mutate.

The surface of the earth was destroyed. After a million years the humans in the earth re-emerge to find the surface completely changed. The animals had changed. The surface was all wilderness and needed to be conquered again.

There was one new animal species which seemed almost human. Where did these come from? After doing studies, they concluded that these things they called apes were the descendants of the Republicans!!! In the million years of them being on the surface they were forced to lose humanity. Their bodies adapted to the harsh conditions on the surface. They lived in forests and became arboreal. Their arms git longer, they got stronger and they grew long hair.

This is just a quick example to give a more digestible explanation for "we share a common ancestor". Since many people understand it as we come from monkeys. No monkeys come from us.

who was around to verify that there are millions let alone billions of years for you to work with?

your whole assumption is based on extrapolations of radiometric dating

Scientists actually cant find the missing link that definitely links humans to apes. It's not 100% that we descended from apes. Scientists actually don't know where we came from. Chances are we didn't originate on this planet. A story just broke that DNA was found on a meteorite that hit earth:usure:
I mean yeah, it's believed that all life on earth originated from bacteria on a meteorite; you're not saying anything radical.

It’s sad some black folks equate the theory of evolution with cacs like they’re not any black evolutionary biologist’s :mjpls: but believe a book wrote by ignorant goat fukkers thousands of years ago :snoop: most of us are talking to each other spread throughout the earth In real time, on a fukking supercomputer that fits in our pocket but some have the nerve to shyt on science:why:
