That's a good example and I hope the people saying the yankess buy titles and shyt realize its not that easy . RedsOx, marlins , dodgers, angels all tried that route didn't work hell even the mets had a high payroll and sucked , phillies underperformed. It's hard work and takes a combo of things to make it work money is a great tool but not the end all

Yep. Yankees 'buy championships' but at the same time they really don't. It's a misconception. They actually have a lot of REALLY good players come through their farm system.

Jeter, Rivera, Pettite, Cano, Posada, Gardner ... all through the farm system. Then they got Granderson by trading their top prospect Austin Jackson who turned out to be pretty good.
