Moved to a new city right before highschool and had like 0 friends the first few weeks.

Said fukk it :manny: and joined the after-school weightlifting club. Made friends who liked lifting and joined the football team and loved lifting ever since then.

Didn't really pay attention to diet and protein intake and carbs and bulking, etc. at that time so my body still looked kinda :flabbynsick: I just lifted weights.

It wasn't till I graduated last year and ballooned up to 210 pounds did I start taking diet more seriously. I learned all I could from the internet and the youtube guys and made more gains than I coulda ever imagined.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of this.

Is this in reference to the self esteem boost you get from working out or from when other people acknowledge your gains? For me it's a bit of both.

Or is it knowing how many jaws you can tap :troll:

I've always been a skinny guy, but sophmore year of college I looked at myself in the mirror, and thought I looked thin. I wanted to look better :manny: Was 185 lbs and graduated 210 lbs :jawalrus:

Philly born. PG raised
played football my whole life and was always in tip-top shaped thru hs and most of college. hurt my back and stopped working out for like 2-3 years. got tired of just having a regular body, no definition, bad posture etc. My back started feeling better and now its part of the daily routine. i feel like shyt when i miss a workout. like i cheated on myself.

Another thing is when you play sports your whole life and you have no choice but to work out because its part of your schedule, its more difficult to keep it up after you stop playing said sport. thats why alot of athletes get :flabbynsick: when they stop participating in their sport. I aint wanna fall into that category.

as u can tell by my name i used to bboy. My core strength was ::ohlawd: and i had a nice fit body (like a soccer body) with abs and all and i also played sports most my life. And then i got married(ironically met her at an event and she was eye raping me the whole time)...Yea breh, getting married is the worse diet plan ever. I watched an old video of me from my early 20's (im now 32)a few years ago and i was fukking around showing off my abs and then i looked down my shirt and saw a fukking gut and was disappointed. Mind u i wasnt fat or anything but i no longer had my six pack,my energy levels were low and i even struggle to keep up with my kids. I said fukk this and decided to get back into shape.

Im still not where i wanna be but ill be there soon. My routines are lifting, cardio and core work outs. I added cardio because it makes u feel better.

I go back and forth with cardio ... I used to hate it, then I got to tolerate it, then I did it willingly, and now I'm apathetic towards now. I may need to start doing it on days that a don't lift because nowadays I'm just wiped out after lifting :dead:

I dont know how anyone can stand cardio after a weight session. Every time I try I quit after 5 minutes, and I aint mentally weak like that. Just seems like a waste of energy when my body is looking to recover

Id rather just eat less and achieve the same result

Cardio days for me are either cardio only, or cardio later in the day after a morning weight session
