I play indoor pickup games at least 2-3 days a week. It’s like the perfect form cardio to kick off my day. Nothing like the competition, cardio, and just mastering control of your body and game. I’m going to hate when I can’t play anymore due to age.
My only fear is injuries. My previous ankle sprain took over 2 years to get back to 90%. My most recent ankle roll and hyperextended knee took months to heal and unfortunately I don’t get paid to hoop last I checked so these injuries don’t look worth the risk overall. My game is slowly moving to 3 & defense with a sprinkle of ball handling & finesse and crafty post/midrange moves.
