Spike Lee is a lil overrated IMO. He's had plenty of classics for sure but let's be real, we all fukk with cuz he's black. :comeon:

If anything, he represents a huge problem in the movie making business... lack of black directors. As such, we're almost forced to support him. Who else we gon ride with?

Never thought I'd see the day the NFL had so many black QB's I could actually start rooting against some of em. :wow:

This. Outside of Inside Man, he really hasn't done shyt noteworthy since the 90s

SMH.. Right, they couldn't possibly be fans because of the "plenty of classics" he's made right? It's solely because he's black...

25th Hour.. movie is considered one of the greatest movies of the past decade by numerous critics.

He also got high praise and awards for the HBO Documentaries he put out... When The Levees Broke and If God Is Willing... Most of the stuff he's made since 2000 have been documentaries and un-aired tv pilots...

The few feature films he's done after Bamboozled have been hit or miss IMO... When he's got the right material he puts out great films tho...

.

25th Hour was a snooze fest breh and Miracle at St Anna was ok. Inside Man was his last good movie.

I think when he went on that streak in the late 80s- early 90s it kinda burnt him out. He was putting out classics every year. I'd even argue that no director has had a killer streak in such a short period of time like Spike did.

School Daze, Do the Right Thing, Mo Better Blues, Jungle Fever and Malcolm X. 1988-92 jeezus :wow:

When The Levees broke was a good documentary.

But he really acted like a fool when he was promoting it. Talking about the government blew the dams up not Katrina.:comeon:
