Some Dudes in here arguing just to argue.

If you were NOT ALIVE during the Early 80's, to the early 90's and LIVED in a Black Community, I'm NOT Trying to hear your "Opinion" on this shyt.

FOR A FACT, certain drugs/things we looked at as "White Boy Shyt".

NO ONE is arguing that there "Weren't Drugs In The Black Community", we are saying "The Shyt Wasn't Glamorized" like it is today.

I Was alive during those times, if you WERE NOT, I'm not tying to hear shyt you have to say about it.

And yes Being a "Fiend / Basehead" was looked down on, these are Facts.

There are numerous examples of drug use stigma, especially in early Rap.

"Mr Chronic", Dr Dre, himself once said...

"I don't smoke weed or sess,
Cause it's known to give a brother brain damage
And brain damage on the mic don't manage nothing
"

Then Years later put out the Chronic, which helped "Popularize/Glamorize" being a Weed user.

We even have examples with "Slang".

If someone said...

"You're Smoking",
"On that Shyt",
"Trippin",
Etc...

These are all terms used to attribute a negative connotation to Drug Use.

If someone said some Dumb Shyt, and I said "You're Smoking", the implied negativity of drug use is already there.

The biggest "Hard Drug" during the 80's and Early 90's was Crack, and that shyt was NOT Glamorized!
even now in LA if you get called a "smoker" or a "J" you basically getting called a loser/dusty/wasteman

Cluck enabler talk.

You trying to validate and self equate.
your cluck enabled supportive life.
When that behavior.
like I said in an urban intellectual arena.
in the black community was never accepted.
Seems you should have wore a mask. When you were enabling their behavior. As you talkin like you a cluck by association.
Ol crack fumes affected enabling ass boi.
Your exception to the rule enabling is not indicative of the general black social aesthetic in an urban Intellectual space.
Regardless of how you try to authenticate your leniency.
Towards drug use around you personally.
That cluck enabling was never authenticated.
in general in the black social space in an urban intellectualism based environment.
You allowed clucks to play and get high around you. That is not generally accepted ever.
in rhe Black community in a urban intellectual space.
Yousa cluck enabler...a goofie.

-I find it amusing how much of an idiot you can be. Keep throwing "urban intellectuals" out there like it changes anything I said. People always telling these fairy tales about the Black community like we all lived together & share the same experiences.

-I rarely ever heard someone say cluck in real life since we didn't use that word, I always thought it sounded stupid.

You tweaked't and self equated breh.

Stop.
It would be like me self equating.
saying everywhere in the world was 64th and saint Lawrence breh.
When that is not true.

When I come from a more advanced urban landscape than you. As rhe landscape you are from.
features gangs from my grassroots locale. Migrating to where you say you are from.
Plus I was fully cognitive outside during ether and flake.
before ten..
before crack.
Just because my exception to the rule socialization. I know not to self equate that to the general idea. Especially in an urban landscape. That does not feature advanced urban intellectualism.

As your landscape has been totally terraformed.
by organizations that are not grassroots to your locale at all.

What time period do you say drugs started to be looked at as more of a "cool"/status symbol type of thing in the black community? Ive never seen crack/cocaine ever really being accepted but in the early 00s i saw kids popping X in the clubs damn near every weekend and i think that turned into or was a gateway to the opioid era weve seen in the last 10-15 years. I think older heads never saw hard shyt as being accepted but young nikkas as early as the 00s started changing that perception because they didnt know/think pills could be like smoking rocks was back in the generation before.

When my boys do something embarrassing or dumb they always say "...Im high as fukk most of the time"

when I was young I'd say that too, but now as an adult I know it's nothing to be proud about, it's not a compliment lol.
