when did i ever say anything about being depressed?

has your street smarts education given you a greater understanding of human anatomy and brain function that john hopkins and harvard educated doctors?

thinking for yourself is great and should be encouraged. however, you cant simply "think for yourself" to learn neuroscience or human anatomy. there isnt any room for "common sense" there. its black and white and something you actually have to study for years to get a grasp on.
At this point, I think, or at least I sincerely hope, breh is trolling you. :francis: So just take the L for engaging, rather than ignoring, and KIM. Anyone with a functioning brain knows how difficult medical research is. I don't do formal drug research but have been in labs more than enough times to properly grasp the difficulty behind the science of medicine, which is why it is even more remarkable when there is a break through. Same reason why some medications work for some people but not others; it's a very complicated matter. I won't even get into side effects. :wow:

yeah i should know better than to get sucked in on something like that

its crazy how little we understand about the brain.

the brain is a body part that is capable of "getting sick" or "injured" just like you can hurt your knee or your arm. its no different. its a shame that this is so stigmatized. there is nothing wrong with a body part malfunctioning. no one is being treated like sub-human trash if they tear their acl or break their arm or get a disease like cancer. but if something is wrong with the brain its always hate and ignorance.

depression isnt really about feeling sad or anything. its more of a feeling of hopelessness or lack of any emotion.

yeah we in america and on this board for the most part have it way better than homeless dudes around the country or those living in slums in 3rd world countries. but depression kinda prevents you from making that distinction or being able to process it.

we wouldnt ostracize someone for getting help with ADHD or dyslexia but for some reason people shyt on people that are legitimately depressed. it is really sad because it just makes people too embarrassed to get help and leads them further down the rabbit hole of self hatred and feeling worthless.
