X1/X3/X5/3/5/8 are all fine. X2/X4/X6/7 are meh.

They gotta trim back their model lineup.

That bullshyt 8 series that’s a 6 series refresh in disguise looks like a mustang from the side when all they had so was make that bytch look like the first gen 8 series modernized.

the X lineup is forgettable and I get that they make them because people want SUVs. X7 fell into the same trap as the 8 series and could’ve been so much more considering they have the fukking Cullinan to pick pieces from.

3/4 Series is a damn abomination and where is Chris Bangle when you need him. Dude is probably laughing his ass off at this shyt.

Benz got a trillion models as well but when you see a current gen S Class (fukk that new one) or an AMG GT, you want them shyts.

The Germans believe in having every niche filled if possible. BMW has been having their best sales years(up until 2020 at least) for a reason.

Their lineup is manageable vs Mercedes. Benz has to, and are planning to cutback.

Cullinan is on its own platform unrelated to regular BMW models. The 3 is fine. I agree about the 4.

with the Cullinan in house they could’ve use that as a springboard to make the X7 into a different vehicle. Even with it being on a different platform.

Hyundai managed to make the Pallisade, Telluride and GV80 come out within a year of each other, all 3 look good and only 2 are on the same platform + are loaded with tech. BMW is just on some other shyt. And it’s going to be a damn joke seeing the M3/4 with that ridiculous set of nostrils.

what the BMW lineup can even come close to an AMG-GT right now; a car with a 4 year old design that looks fresh as hell even without some type of packages slapped on it.

I wouldn’t be shocked if BMW shook up the design team

The Cullinan/Ghost/Phantom all share the same platform. Way too expensive to use for the X7. Absolutely no way they'd let the X7 share any of it. No need to either as the X7 is doing well.

BMW doesn't have any sportscar platform because they view it as a waste of money now. The iNEXT was canceled at the beginning of the year IIRC.

Before this year I probably was at BMW HQ every 2-3 months for 2 years straight and still work for them externally. They know what they're doing for the most part.

In Black/Black/Black the new M3 looks great. If I remember to come back here and post the picture I saw floating around I will.

If works stabilizes going into the new year I'll probably grab an allocation come December for Summer delivery. Want a lightly used 911 but need 4 doors. This is it.

the kink on the side profile needs to go back to the way it has always been.

The kink is more of an annoyance than anything else. I'm a firm believer that they flipped it as a fukk you to BMW enthusiasts who were going to complain about the design direction. It's obvious because 7 out of 10 BMW drivers wouldn't be able to point it out or know the history behind it. There was no other reason to flip it.

10 out of 10 BMW drivers can tell you how out of place that grill is.

the kink never needed to be touched in the first place. Keep the kink and just modify the chrome (or black) trim piece around it like you see on the Cullinan (thin in some places, thick in others)

but that grill looks like absolute shyt and you wonder how they ran it up the food chain with out it getting shot down. This isn’t the time for bullshyt like this when you have Genesis creeping up and you’re giving consumers who would never cross shop these brands a chance to sniff at what else is out there.
