Might be the only person I've ever seen to big up Night Vision. That's the one I dislike.

In terms of fall/winter scents at Macy's,

  • Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male series
  • Burberry Hero
  • Azzaro Most Wanted
  • Dior Sauvage ELIXIR
  • The One Million series
  • Tom Ford Noir Extreme
  • Armani Stronger With You series
  • Hugo Boss Bottled Series

thanks breh, I have Azzaro Most Wanted
got Dior Sauvage coming in the mail

SOTD - Gentle Fluidity Silver

This is the epitome of clean. Juniper berries, ambroxan and musk. While I enjoy complex compositions just as much as the next person, GFS being linear works in its favor. Silver in the name makes sense as the wearing experience makes you feel crisp and sharp. Lasts all day with 3 sprays.....you don't need compliments when YOU know you smell good.

Top Notes: Plum, White Musk, Rum
Heart Notes: Mushroom, Coconut, Sage
Base Notes: Cedar, Amber, Woods

* I think I have 2 more left from this house in my Mystery box.
Look at the notes... You would at least think this would smell interesting. :francis:

Just like the last one I tested, I barely smell anything and nothing related to the notes listed.

Crazy how people's taste in fragrances develop.

I remember originally not liking Jazz Club or By The Fire Place. Now I'm thinking about getting a full bottle.

Might get a decant for reminder purposes.

Pull up on Ross/Burlington/Marshalls/TJ Maxx from time to time. Reddit put me on. Got a bottle of jazz club + tall refill bottle for da low.

Every now and again they sneak sum good shyt on their shelves.

I keep hearing about Burberry Hero, might have to sample it

SOTD - Byredo - Vanille Antique

$375 retail.

Of course I got the decant, you already know.

I only mention the price, because this is not a ~$400 fragrance (is any fragrance worth more than $40 for 100 mls?)

Its sweet...and thats all I got.

I got this along with jeke and kiste, because they've been on my list for years.

Jeke and Kiste - worth the weight. If I saw either long time discontinued joints on sale, even at 400, I might consider it. And then I would NOT buy them, cause I got more cologne than I know what to do with.

But this joint rightchea? smh.

Is vanilla one of the most over-used notes in perfumery?
It's gotta be vanilla, tonka bean...I don't know what the 3rd one would be.

Obviously it all depends on the quality of a note and how it's blended. I'm just saying it feels like I see the same couple of notes pop up in a lot of overrated/highly touted fragrances.

My favourite cologne by a fair distance is Terre by Hermes. It's also the cologne that gets most commented about when I'm wearing it.

It's not particularly new - came to market in 2005ish, from memory and there are now a few variants, but the OG is best in my opinion. Very earthy, woody sort of fragrance as the name would suggest.

Also have Tom Ford by Tom Ford, L'eau d'Issey by Issey Miake, and Hugo by Hugo Boss.

All of these have probably appeared pretty regularly in the thread, I imagine.

Yep - it's top of the ladder for me. I'm not sure if I'm gonna phrase this right, but make sure you wear it a few times before you purchase - I have friends who like it out of the bottle, like it on other people, but fukking hate it on their own skin. It unfortunately (maybe fortunately, tbh) doesn't seem to sit well on some guys.

I've always got a couple of bottles in my cupboard, and also keep a bottle at my ma's house & my bro's also. I know it will always work for me!!

I've probably got too many bottles at my place now, so I'll happily donate one to you if you get on well with wearing it, but it might take a couple of weeks to arrive from Australia. The postal service here is fukking WACK.
