What lotions are y'all using? My skin dries out like crazy after a shower and I've been using Aveeno but I'm about to run out. Looking to see if there is something I can shake things up with.

Light scent to it and they also sell a fragrance free version as well.

I own royal oud and bought that Lomani when it came out in 2015. The Lomani does smell similar to the royal oud not as natural of course. The only drawback is the performance sucks and the projection is close to skin. Definitely will need to bundle spray on skin and clothes.
Are there any good dupes for Royal OUD you could recommend for the other poster? For Aventus it feel like it's a million options for that scent dna. DUA, FBO, Club De Nuit, Parfum Vintage, Alexandra Fragrances, Montagne ,and the list goes on and on. None of the dupes are 100% but close enough for the price.

Could get decants and samples too. But dude might not want to pay $20 bucks for a 10ml travel spray.

You listed the only royal oud alternative I know about. But it’s a solid one. Oh yea there is 100+ aventus dupes out there lol.

Top Notes
Osmanthus, Spicy notes, Saffron, Citruses, Rosemary, Thyme, Grapefruit

Heart Notes
Tobacco, Guaiac wood, Patchouli, Vetiver

Base Notes
Tonka bean, Amber, Musk

I'll be damned if this doesn't remind me of something that would fit right into that TF family of 'Cherry Smoke' or 'Tobacco Vanille' and all that---just a bit more drier than what I experienced with the former.

The opening is fruity but nothing 2 crazy--not tart, not sweet or none of dat. I ain't really gettin' too much of the citruses or whatever.

The tobacco in here is sum of dat good stuff. Smooth, & sweet undertones even.

Base on the website say sum'n bout Cambodian oud but others don't. More conflicting info. I don't really get oud from it unless it's meant to blend into da sweet/spice of the dry-down cuz I'm used to the smoky, resin type oud. Kinda gettin' sum hints of cinnamon.

Gotta sit with it sum more but overall I enjoyed wearing it all day.

Any of the Brehs tried Alghabra scents? I'm interested in a few, especially the Cuban Tobacco and Columbian Cacao.

I've got Cuban Tobacco, and 1 or 2 more from the house.

CT smells like Mancera's Red Tobacco, but it's been stepped on. Not nearly as sharp, powerful, or headache inducing. It cools down and gets more mellow during the dry down, like a pipe tobacco. It's definitely not a linear scent, so if you enjoy "fragrance evolution", it's nice. But it's not one on plan on reupping.

I stopped following that Gents Scents guy a while ago.

All he posts are clones and basic mainstream designer flankers.

There are way better recommendations, both mainstream and niche, in this very thread.

Was watching a Dame Dash interview and he mentioned that at one point in time Cam'ron and the diplomats had their own cologne.

I been writing down fragrances yall recommend but damn y’all keep recommending new joints :dwillhuh:

How many y’all have? :jbhmm:

I used to have like 5-10 different colognes but would mainly wear the joints that got me compliments which were usually 2 maybe 3. After I wore a cologne multiple times with no compliments I’d bush it :camby:

I might get some more from FBO and cop this Tom Ford from Jomas and hope for the best. I wanna get like 3 different colognes maybe up to 5 but strictly joints that get compliments

That and the body oils should have me gucci :ehh:

But yea how many different colognes do y’all have? Some of y’all sound like y’all got like 20+ :dwillhuh:

How long y’all colognes be lasting y’all? :jbhmm:

I wonder when the "golden age" of cologne was?
I think for the current crowd it was between 2000-2015.

What I remember was that cologne used to be strong AF.

I also remember going to clubs where people were smoking INSIDE.

There are still a few joints that are that strong.

I tried Kouros on Wednesday. If the current formulation is lightened up from the 80s...cot damn that must have been a room filler and CLEARER.

Cologne definitely used to be way more potent. Between the weak performance/sillage and all of these flankers they're basically just hustling at this point. The good thing is that they're 100x more options to choose from now. We're in a fragrance renaissance era.
