Pure Havane is my favourite juice of all time. Can't nobody convince me Malt is better. No ways! :damn:

Haha. I bought both bottles at the start of the pandemic. (Pure Malt straight from Mugler, and Pure Havane from Fragrance Buy CA)

They're prolly in my top 10 of all time.

Star Man Nebula - good clone of Pure Malt
Insurrection II - good clone of Pure Havane

I've got this joint from DUA as well - it's mixing the clones...

Dude I just bought some nitrile gloves off Amazon because I use them to clean the house.

The box is like $16.

Y'all out here telling me I can get a Pure Malt clone for the same price?

:wtf:
Yes and you can get both for about $30-$35 total.

This thread should have been around when I was 19.
I would have done things.

:wow:

I wonder when the "golden age" of cologne was?
I think for the current crowd it was between 2000-2015.

What I remember was that cologne used to be strong AF.

I also remember going to clubs where people were smoking INSIDE.

There are still a few joints that are that strong.

I tried Kouros on Wednesday. If the current formulation is lightened up from the 80s...cot damn that must have been a room filler and CLEARER.

So I remember when smoking indoors was allowed, but it was getting phased out by the time I really got into that age.
I can still remember going to McDonalds and seeing ashtrays as a kid.

You're probably right about that 2000-2015 golden age, because what I remember of colognes growing up is that it was some "old man" thing that I would smell on Sundays from people going/returning from church.

Maybe nobody even wore cologne in school until....maybe 7th-8th grade? And back then it was what you could buy at CVS....like Cool Water, Drakkar, and Eternity.
Goodness, what was that Calvin Klein that everyone used to have back in those days? CK One or something like that?

That was the era!
Drakkar, Joop, Cool Water during HS
Le Male and prolly something else in College...
CK One (which was unisex) and part of the "clean era" (which was apparently heavily influenced by the AIDS epidemic, per some random comment on Fragrance sub reddit. )

Gucci II Pour Homme... (I can still see that bottle on my dresser)

Then for me I didn't really get nothing until Versace Man Eau Fraiche (randomly) and Tom Ford Noir Extreme at Sephora while dealing with another chick... (incidentally, I remember putting my nose on Spicebomb that day, and was like "who wants to smell like a Christmas Tree, lol)

Damn near a decade with 2 colognes.

And then 2020 - BDC EDP, Sauvage EDP, One Million Lucky, and Tiffany Love for Him - on a whim and in 1 weekend.

Since then I've at least gotten a sample of 90% of the popular designer and niche fragrances. But getting 100% of the popular joints, would be like 5% out of everything that gets released.

This was my era. When Snoop mentioned Cool Water cologne on Doggystyle/Lodi Dodi that shyt set the hood on fire.
After that I really went deep into the Polo joints and Joop but after that the fragrance world was dead as fukk at least for me.
I remember getting Gucci Rush and Versace Pour Homme from a girlfriend at the time and I rode with those for years.
When covid hit I started getting back into frags and got my hands on One Million Lucky and Cerutti Image (still have a sealed bottle). After that I just kept going down the rabbit hole.
I always am amazed at the amount of frags that drop every year hell even within a month. No way you can keep up with the releases. It seems like these YT influencers can't even keep up with the shyt.

Naw, these folks are greedy and lazy.

10 out of the past 16 are lists - mostly of stuff he's already featured before.
3 are news
Only 3 are reviews - Dior Homme Parfum 25, Lattafa Asad Bourbon (Clone), and Armaf CDN Lionheart Man (which might be a clone)

So really, only 1 legit review in 2 weeks.

But the lists = YT ad revenue
Armaf and the Clones = cash in hand from the UAE or wherever.

I agree but Ash is a doof and an exception though. He's pretty much bought and paid for like Curly and Erica. A lot of the lesser watched channels I follow do a pretty good job of covering newer frags and don't repeat the same shyt as much as the bigger channels.
