What are some decent cologne any of y'all brought from a Tj Maxx, Marshall, Burlington, Ross type of store?

Personally, Versace Eau Fraiche.

This comes up all the time in the colognes sub, at least 1 per day. There's usually nothing great at these places.

Right now Maison Margiela is showing up real heavy, but for the most part, it's the same stuff that they put in these stores.

• Banana Republic's - Tobacco and Tonka, and Dark Cherry and Amber - are some good ones (both are surprisingly strong and last a while. The dark cherry has woken me up to the point I had to take a shower to get it off me so I could fall back asleep)
• Burberry London - also a good one - it's perfect for the current season.
• Acqua di Gio - Classic
• Drakkar Noir - Classic

I always see Versace Blue Jeans - and I always skip it.

And like most stores of that type - the mix of merchandise is related to the neighborhood. So if you go to Marshall's in the "nice part of town" - you'll notice that they carry nicer (and more expensive) stuff.

Like Marshall's will carry Aventus in the right places.

Silky Woods Elixir is really good.
I never smelled the OG so I can't compare it.

I will say, there is something about Silky Woods Elixir that reminds me of Tom Ford Noir Extreme.

They don't smell the same. There's a bit of a funk or punch that I got from SWE that I never got with the Tom Ford. Maybe it's the Oud? But there's just something in there that for a split second reminded me of Noir Extreme. I'm not that sophisticated when it comes to picking out specific notes, so I glanced at the pages on Parfumo and I'm guessing it's the Saffron or Rose or Vanilla...since it looks like they each share those notes.

I ran out of my Noir Extreme decant a while ago so I can't compare them now, but I know I'm a fan of both.

I would just say that with Silky Woods Elixir, you really don't want to rub your nose in it. Spray it and let it come to you in the air. I found it way more enjoyable that way. If you give it some space, it's lovely.

Silky Woods Elixir is probably a bit more versatile, in my opinion. It's definitely not as sweet as Noir Extreme.

Got a wedding to go to so SOTD is Bitter Peach layered with Dua's Casino Royale Nights (540 EDP clone). I remember somebody in here suggested the combo and it's been a go to ever since.

I've tried the OG plus dupes/clones. You can't go wrong with it imo. It's airy, creamy and plenty possibilities for layering with its simplistic, effective profile. Not finna have it @ the top of my list in terms of my fav shyt ever or anything but it's a good wear.

SWY Intensely - One of the best in the line.
BR540 - It's been the scent of the moment for like 3 years. I find it to be too sweet on me though.

Only the first and the last. People in the know will recognize BR right away it’s a signature scent. More of a gender neutral scent some may even say it leans feminine. I just tried some JPG the other day. There were a few bottles on display the OG and gold bottle was ok but I was most impressed by the black bottle variation. None are bad depending on your collection

I saw Montblanc Ultra Blue, didn't really see a white bottle.

I think that white box is Oscar De La Renta, but I could be wrong.

In this particular post, they had Khamrah Qawha and Oud for Glory. Those are pretty good, and worth 50/30 bucks respectively. In a case of 5's, those are 7s.
A lot of people think they're gonna find "hidden gems" or "real bargains" at these places - an 999 times out of 1,000 - prolly not.

Same with Perfumania. Usually nothing noteworthy, unless they happen to have some dead stock. The one by me had some of those BLVGARI Aqua flankers that didn't sell.

Now "The Cosmetics Company Store" (usually in outlet malls) - there you can come up on something in store, mostly because it's a place for women that happens to sell men's colognes.

Alta and Sephora can also have some bargains for the same reason, but they're usually in regular malls, so it's also playing the lottery as well.

But all that "pinching and bargaining", I'd rather just get the decant sent to me.

This smells like full suede and a lil like rubber. I don't get any vanilla, leather, etc.

It's not bad. It's less expensive compared to most niche fragrances. I wouldn't buy it tho.
