Wedding season coming up fellas... It's time to bring out the arsenal and let my scent clouds linger from the pew to the pulpit :whew:

Little cousin about to jump the broom... Told him I would scent him... Might bless him with some dior private collection for the occasion :blessed:

Like you said, wedding season is coming up.
Any recommendations for fragrances for weddings?
I will attend weddings that are both mostly outside summertime as well as some that are traditional classy indoors.

Breh...fragrance is so personal so I’m not knockin what @BronxBomber was sayin....but TF Grey Vetiver is dope any age....if you like clean airy scents I haven’t smelled better.....

Im speaking from a sales side. Id say Creed, then Tom Ford as a brand sell the second most in volume. Grey Vetiver is USUALLY purchased by older brothers. Nobody is wrong as I got a young cat that comes up and he typically gets 'older' fragrances.

I agree though, like I told a brother earlier I wear very few fragrances that are considered winter.... It just doesnt work for me. I don't want to be out here smelling like wood, earth, dirt and what not :russ:

Went to neiman marcus and smelled a ton
royal oud smells like wood/mud... interesting, but I can't really see myself wanting to smell like that.
creed viking was a nice mature scent, but at retail price, no way.
bois du portugal - i remember smelling this a long time ago and really liking it but not really liking it after smelling it today
original vetiver - liked this. fresh and smooth
original santal - really not my flavor
millesime imperial - smelled this several times through the years. a classic. a bottle is on the way.
silver mountain water - slightly behind virgin island water as my favorite from the creed house.

the only creed that I would consider buying now is viking and that's if I can find a reasonable price. I already own virgin island water and aventus and have original vetiver, millesime and silver mountain water on the way.

I smelled a lot of other creeds, but I can't really remember their names, so obviously they didn't impress that much.

Over the weekend I smelled azzaro wanted by night -- liked this a lot but I didn't buy because it smells along the lines of la nuit which I already own. I'll probably get a bottle down the line, but not right now.

Sauvage EDT and EDP - Interesting, but not mindblowing smell. Very popular though, so I'll be smelling like everyone else buying this, but it'll be a nice switch up every now and then. I preferred the EDT over EDT.

Acqua di gio profumo - Really enjoyed this. Will get a bottle down the line.

Le Male ultra male - nice, sweet scent along the lines of 1 million and la nuit. Not ultra distinctive. I'd probably get azzaro wanted by night over this.

Tom Ford ombre leather - light aroma of leather. not something i'd really want to smell like but it was decent.

Tom Ford black orchid - overpriced. smells like a more natural 1 millionish type of scent.

Tom Ford grey vetiver - solid old schoolish fragrance. Since it's not overly expensive, I'll probably grab this to mix it up over all the fruity, sweet smelling stuff out there.

Think I'm going to steer away from Creed, Their batch variation issues are serious... to the point where the same cologne with different batches can smell like completely different colognes. They really need to get the batch issues under control, especially with them going from 4.0 to 3.3 in size and them raising the price significantly.

You need to smell these two creeds: spice and woods and Jadin D Amalfi. Two underrated gems from the house but pricier than their popular offerings.

@kevm3 , do you have the staple Herrera for Men in your collection?

The ladies have been loving that one on me.

I don't have that one yet. One that I liked a lot that fragranceheads might turn their head up at is 1 million prive

Can't remember if I smelled those two at the store, but I'll have to go check it out some time. I'm kind of considering steering clear of Creed, as they reduced the bottle sizes, significantly raised the prices and still have these serious batch variation issues. For example, I remember Aventus was getting a ton of hype, so I smelled one bottle and it had this smoke, leather, wood type of smell and I didn't get any of hte pineapple... then I cop a bottle a couple years later and this bottle has a very strong pineapple and wood note. Similar sort of experience with Millesime Imperial. First time I smelled it, I was impressed and it didn't smell anything like the sea salt and melon I hear about, but then I smell it somewhere else and it's completely different.

What are some other houses you like? I'm considering veering off into Amouage or Acqua di Parma.

Mancera- affordable niche house. Excellent performance on most of their fragrances.

Perfums d marly- fantastic quality

Atelier cologne- affordable alternative to creed in terms of fresh fragrances

Byredo- great offerings

Le labo- expensive but worth it if you find the ones you like.
