A lot of you brehs are showering as best you could, meaning you aren’t completely clean. But most of you make up for it because you shower frequently enough to where what is left usually gets cleaned eventually.

But here’s the secret. Body wash/soap isn’t enough. You need a few more things to really upgrade your cleaning game. Note: this may not work for you if you have super sensitive skin

1. Usually, most people use a sulfate free body wash. There’s a lot of talk about how they irritate skin and a lot of misinformation about how it’s a dangerous chemical. It isn’t.

Simply a sulfate body wash contains a chemical that breaks up oils, allowing for a deeper cleaning. In extreme cases it can be very drying and lead to ashy skin if not properly moisturized. But usually, it leads to a very effective cleaning that removes dirt and oils harboring bacteria that non-sulfate washes cannot do as effectively.

Odor causing bacteria usually lives trapped within oils on and within your skin.

Ironically, the super expensive “high quality, natural” body washes suck when it comes to a deeper clean because they lack sulfates.

2. Most people, especially if they struggle with odor, have bacterial imbalances on their skin. Meaning there’s often too much bad bacteria in warm dark places like your underarms and nether regions. No amount of normal cleaning will really help with that, you are simply delaying smelling again and probably still have a musk even after showering.

The way to fix this is by adding a mild exfoliant like benzoyl peroxide to every wash in those areas. And also adding an anti-bacterial soap to use in these areas as a primer 1-2 times per week. Cheap Dial hand soap works wonders for this. In extreme cases you could use a surgical wash but beware too much too often could damage your skin barrier.

And in addition face wash is pretty basic. Every so often you might want to

So here’s the method:

-Cop a high sulfate concentration body wash (cheap Dial body wash is a quick an easy buy)

-Cop Benzoyl Peroxide Wash (NOT THE SAME AS HYDROGEN PEROXIDE)

- Cop big jug of cheap anti-bacterial Dial handsoap

1. Use the sulfate body wash on your underarms, nethers, and feet. Use a separate wash cloth for each area. Clean thoroughly.

1a. (Optional, only use 1-2 per week) apply a dab of anti-bacterial Dial handsoap and use in these areas as well.

2. Wash with your normal body wash/soap as usual.

3. Once rinsed, apply the Benzoyl peroxide wash under your arms (could also apply to other areas depending on need, works great for acne as well) and let sit for at least 2-3 minutes. During this time you can wash your face, apply conditioner, etc.

4. Completely rinse the peroxide from your underarms. There should be no residual foaming.

5. Dry those areas completely with a towel as soon as done showering. Then apply antiperspirant, lotion, etc.

Do this every time you shower and I swear eventually you will ALWAYS be squeaky clean. Even after a long hard day you’ll still be clean as a mfer, not even a hint of must. As your bacterial cultures decrease over time you will be very unlikely to ever smell again. Just make sure to shower daily.
