LT was indeed a monster. My Grandpops favorite player of all time. At his peak he was the best but when the early 90's Cowboys came through he was no match for Larry Allen, Mark Tuinei and Kevin Grogan.....we would just run straight at him with Emmitt.
Larry Allen never faced Lawrence Taylor who retired a year before Larry got in the league.

This man was scary :damn:
Imagine having to be a QB and face him. :merchant:

@NYC Rebel Tell us what it was like watching him live on Sundays :wow:

I might've been able to answer this question like 20+ years ago ..

To be honest now...I don't really remember other than to say he was the second best defensive player I've ever seen next to Reggie White who was throwing 300lb men in the air like tennis balls

How do you not wake up in the middle of the night screaming from flashback nightmares if you played QB in the NFC East in the late 80s??

Reggie White, Lawrence Taylor, Dexter Manley, Charles Mann, Jerome Brown, Clyde Simmons, Jim Jeffcoat, Leonard Marshall.

You had to face these dudes at minimum 6 games every year!

That reminds me of when Eric dikkerson told a story of how one time Reggie White tackled him in the Pro Bowl by throwing an offensive lineman at him.

I got to see LT play live once. First football game I ever attended....in Dallas. Old Cowboy stadium was one of the top 5 beautiful sites I have ever seen in my life. That shyt was majestic. It looked about two stories high from the outside, but once inside, it sank into the ground like a greek amphitheater and the light of God came pouring through that roof. I was amazed.

So the Giants are playing the baby Cowboys. I'm there to see LT. The dude seemed bored that game because the Cowboys were pups at the time and no threat. I'm like "come on LT!! This a NY niqqa who is all the way out here to see YOU!!" Game was 21-0 until the Cowboys ran a kick off back, then stopped the Giants and got the ball back. Hope was back in the game for the Cowboys. LT said...."nah." And I saw him do this two plays in a row. :wow:

I got up like

He did this for ME!! ME!!

I felt honored watching him switch to beast mode.

And Nate Newton was a guard. He was engaging with a outside linebacker pushing him around? :russ:

You gonna still photo your way through this?

About Nate:

"Even though he became a starter at left guard in 1987, his struggles to maintain his playing weight almost cost him being waived. Jimmy Johnson became the Cowboys coach in 1989 and eventually moved him to the starting right tackle position and forced him to get into better shape after Johnson beat him in a running race."

LT retired after 92. When was Nate pushing LT around? In 89'? In 90' when the Giants went to the Super Bowl?

I hate these fake ass sports discussions. :laff:

With your lying ass....
