Banks only have to report cash deposits bigger than 9,999.00 on a typical checking or savings account. I would deposit about 5k every two or three weeks if I were you op that won't bring up any red flags.

There are two different types of reports breh the federal one is the one you should be worried about that is the 10k one. Every bank has to fill out that same form and it goes to the same place. That 5k one most likely an internal bank thing yours does.

The federal division that takes care of that has enough issues with the tons of 10k forms the banks, they would lose their shyt if it lowered to 5k.
