im glad you posted the pierrot fight. spike was getting rocked the whole time. that fukker was clearly from another series the way he was clowning spike. hit him with aerial combos, fukker had a reflector on him and he was armed to the teeth.

Truly timeless work, Watanabe/Whole staff deserve their accolades. The movie might be my favorite piece of animation ever.

I’m a pretty casual anime person, and I recently watched Champloo for the 1st time (loved) and jumped right into this, but I just can’t get into it for some reason.
They're really not putting up the money for this kind of hand animation anymore. So in a way it peaked already.
It's a pretty similar structure but Champloo keeps your attention a lot better. Bebop is lowkey if you didn't watch it first

It’s probably taken me 8 months to get 15 or so eps in, and to be honest I can’t even remember what the central premise/mystery is lol
I don’t mind slow, I don’t need a big crash and bang to keep my attention, but the shyt is so slow, and the story is told so piecemeal that I’m never sure what exactly I’m supposed to remember because the next episode is about something completely unrelated to the previous ep.
The chick isn’t who she thinks she is, the black(?) dude left the police under weird circumstances and the main breh... I have no idea lol
At this point I’m just in it for the jazz and because I’m a completist.
Cowboy is the GOAT anime and that ain’t even a debate.
