I don't know how I feel about ppl spreading the secrets. Market about to flood and saturate
Not gonna lie, it’s harder now and with everyone and their uncle that was trying to or switched to tech during Covid, the entry level is really saturated to the point where you’d make more money working at a fast food restaurant than working helpdesk. Just so many bodies.

The difference is that it’s not an easy grind so if you’re the type to not give up you’ll be fine. A lot of people try to get in thinking it’s an easy lick and end up hating it or being stuck at entry level because they lack the discipline to keep grinding. It’s a low bar for entry with a very high earning ceiling and one of the few careers where the only thing that can stop you is yourself. The catch is, until you get to a senior level, the learning does not stop, and a lot of people aren’t built for that so they burn out or give up before they get there.

Also with the paradigm shyt that’s coming with A.I., my advice to anyone trying to get in is to hurry up and get in now, because the entry level is about to get decimated. Companies and gonna reduce the amount of bodies needed at entry/junior levels something serious.

No certs at the moment. I'm a frontend software engineer currently studying backend programming. I do plan to grab some security certs after this though.
