Klansmen was great and DEFINITELY better than Being Driven By Mr. Aragon.

The TRUE Best Picture (If Beale Street Could Talk) wasn’t even nominated. I would also say Black Panther was worthy.


And Spike didn’t win Best Director, he won Best Adapted Screenplay. He lost Best Director to Roma

“Roma” and “if Beale street could talk” are my 2 favorite films of last year.

Wouldn’t be mad if either won best picture and am glad Alphonso Cauron won best director.

When I saw it, I felt it would better served to be read than watched. All those slow, elaborate scenes with the score trying to set the mood in quite literally every scene works better in your head while reading, but as a film?

Paperboi stole the show though, I'll say that much.
