I’m still self managing. I’m scared of a lot of hospital shyt so I just try to manage the best I can and when I have a flare just ride it out. My shyt is pretty mild compared to some though. Now that I’ve moved though I’m going to go to a local GI and see what is needed for it to be more manageable because lately it’s been getting bad.
Dude...you really need to get that taken care of man.
Storytime:
I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease in 03 and I went from 250 pounds all the way down to 120 by October of that year. It was really scary because almost everything I ate would not go down at all. It got to the point where I was a walking corpse. I could not sleep at night because every hour I would wake up in pain, so I would stay up and just ride it out in naps. Eventually, I got on steroids and they gave me pills for it, until one day my doctor was like "you heard of remicade?". I said no and she insisted that they were going to put me on it. To this very day, I can easily lived before this illness came to play. I can eat almost anything with the exception of greens and high fiber stuff. I can work without putting my head on the counter because I was in so much pain. I can finally live for a change.
The only drawback to remicade is that you would have to get 3 hour treatments every 6 to 8 weeks. Also, there's complications such as chances of cancer and etc, but that's with every bit of medicine and living condition. Hell, there's folks out there healthy as a horse and end up checking out the next week because of something as random as a bug bite.
Please I'm begging you as a koala to a human, don't ride this shyt out. The issues down the world outweigh a simple medical procedure if you don't control your illness. Trust me on this...this is something I would not wish my enemies to have
