You know what's weird. I grew up poor and saw shyt like this in inner-city middle school.
Fast forward to now, both of my kids go to a private Montessori school that I'm paying out the ass for and all the kids there dress like bums and weirdos. Or at the very least they don't give a fukk about clothes or labels. They're the kids that would have been clowned in public school. But they're all very bright, seem happy, and come from upper middle income households.
Poor people focus on the wrong fukking things.
I swear y'all are all in your feelings about what some high schoolers are doing

High school is the time to care about the wrong things

What the fukk are you talking about? I was one of the nikkas clowning kids in high school too. I'm speaking as a grown ass man now. The type of kids that my children go to school with are the type of kids the young and ignorant version of myself might have clowned.

I'll take back my comment about poor people focusing on the wrong things because it really has less to do with finances and more to do with your personal values and ethics. People can be materialistic regardless of how much or how little they make.

I guess these kids are more fashion conscious now. When I was in school 06-09 brothers got away with fakes all the time. Those clear Jordans, Forces, even Timbs were all hot, but only for like a year. I only know one guy got clowned for his fake Jordans, but his cross the line badly because the jumpman was laying it up going coast to coast. :russ:

I remember I was in 10th grade and my mama had went shopping for me. Bought me some tight ass black Lee jeans. I was like fukk it, they not that bad.

So I make it through the whole day, with nobody saying nothing, so I'm like yeah I knew they weren't that bad. Then we out front of school at the end of the day. I know ya'll remember how nikkas would just be loitering right after school, hollering at hoes, etc etc.

Well this one kid, ol popular kid we called Lo Lo. nikka looked at me with a grin, like :jawalrus: and said "Ay lil buddy, why yo damn jeans so tight."

Every damn body started busted out laughing. I didn't know what the fukk to say. I just froze and when the laughter died off, snuck up outta there. shyt crushed my soul. Threw them bytches in the trash after that.

growing up in the 80's...mom was only able to get me some Pro-Wings or XJ900's from payless.

I still remember my 1st pair of real name brand kicks were when LA Gear came out. Them shyts had 3 laces on one shoe (white, neon, checkered). In middle school, I talked moms into getting me some expensive kicks for my bday. So I copped the new Karl Malone LA Gear Catapult's. I thought shyt was an upgrade, but I was getting ate up at school. lol.

Them shyts never made me jump higher :mjcry:

Then since I had the shoe. I started watching Karl Malone more, and this dude was a 1 hand dunker who had no hops at all :mjcry:

im pretty sure that was they teacher trying to lighten the mood up a bit.

And I'm pretty sure the dude they were laughing at was they friend, cause they were laughing on his shoulder and shyt and it seemed nobody took offense

That's cool. I never said they werent friends tho. They just laughing too hard at it. I dont care how clownish someone dress, unless I was blazed, I would've never laughed that hard.

And it still looked like Becky was trying to fit in:yeshrug:

Lighten the mood:russ: they were already clowning
