Will Smith reveals he 'fell in love with' Stockard Channing during his first marriage
(CNN)Will Smith reveals in his upcoming memoir that he fell in love with his "Six Degrees of Separation" co-star Stockard Channing.
Smith, who was married to his first wife Sheree Zampino at the time, starred in the 1993 movie as Paul Poitier, a young man who enters the lives of an affluent couple played by Donald Sutherland and Stockard Channing. Zampino is the the mother of Smith's son Trey.
His feelings for Channing spilled over into real life, Smith writes in "Will."
"Sheree and I were in the first few months of our marriage with a brand-new baby and for Sheree, I can imagine that this experience was unsettling to say the least," writes Smith in the book, excerpted in People. "She'd married a guy named Will Smith and now she was living with a guy named Paul Poitier. And to make matters worse, during shooting I fell in love with Stockard Channing."
"After the film wrapped, Sheree and Trey and I moved back to L.A," Smith writes. "Our marriage was off to a rocky start. I found myself desperately yearning to see and speak to Stockard."

all of this and proximity effect for sureNot to interrupt the roasting session BUT
1). This isn’t new news. Will Smith has spoken about the issues he dealt with filming Six Degrees Of Separation since the movie came out in the early 90’s.
2). If any of you really understood method acting and the depths it can take you then you’d cut Will a LITTLE slack. The director of the movie initially didn’t want to cast Will fearing that his tv persona would ruin the film’s prestige. So Will went and saw six different versions of the play and during his audition showed up in character in a three piece suit. Once he got the gig, he did the Daniel Day Lewis method of acting and lived IN character for the entirety of the movie shoot. The only thing he couldn’t bring himself to do is actually kiss the male actor who played his lover in the movie (yes the character he played was gay) so they reworked the scene, other than that he BECAME the character of Paul, who if you’ve seen the movie, becomes obsessed with Stockard Channing’s character.
Many actors have spoken on how the method acting approach has had adverse effects on their mental health. Heath Ledger died partly because he couldn’t separate himself from the Joker and took pills to cope. Even Terrence Howard said he had trouble separating himself from his character on The Best Man. that shyt happens
Coli nikkas dun chose to ride this wave out…even a CNN bait article from his book is enough to get them goingall of this and proximity effect for sure
no correct me if im wrong but....
doesn't this article say shyt shyt occurred during his first marriage? why are nikkas in here brining up jada like that got anything to do with their current situation? either I'm dyslexic or nikkas are really retarded on this site, there's gotta be funnier/more ironic shyt happening in the world right now
