This fight will be interesting. A new type of challenge and I can't recall watching a boring fight from Makabu so of course I'll watch this spectacle, but let's not act like this is a better or more meaningful fight than Bivol or Beterbeast.
Canelo saw what he thinks is an easy opportunity to tick off the CW box on his resume and pick up a belt for his collection, nothing more. Do you honestly think he would do this against an elite cruiser? Stop making it something it's not.
I don't even blame Canelo too much. He doesn't need these other guys because he's built himself up to the point where any fight makes money, so why not do a side quest and level up his character every now and then. He'll have to fight the main bosses eventually.
In the meantime, these other guys need to start fighting each other and stop letting Canelo control the boxing economy. With the amount of talent in some of these divisions, there's no reason for there to not be multiple stars on his level. The game plan is to get a cheap belt and wait for that big payday. Nah, become a big name in your own right and leave Canelo no choice to fight you for big money whether he thinks he can win or not.
The mental illness and delusion from some of the stans and haters is embarrassing. Relax

Probably even his 8th best win would be these guys' best win, know that.
Ducking a 160er by the way of jumping up to CW from 168 where he is already visibly outsized even by smaller sized guys at the weight like Plant and BJS
