Seems like the best way to go breh lol...and Sony was thinking 3 movies long term but obviously that didn't work out for them and their plans fell through. so they changed the game plan, got with Marvel and now in a partnership, Marvel has their ideas of what they want to do and where they want to take it. Hindsight being that thing it is, I get that, but when you're creating and something isn't working, you gotta adjust. You can't keep trying to force your vision to an audience and hope they eventually connect with it. They knew their brand was in trouble so they wanted some new creativity on board along with the added bonus of putting the character in a world he hadn't been in before. Sony produces it with their money, Marvel makes the creative decisions.

But you're right, if you're not interested, just don't even pay attention to it breh, why make yourself angry?

I didn't know marvel had anything to do with it... but I guess I will wait and see how it turns out I'm just not excited do to all the fukkery....

yeah back in february. marvel and sony entered a joint deal. they can use spider man in their movies and marvel and sony will co produce solo movies

Son looks fine. They not doing another origin story, he's already spider man in the movie, how many times do people have to hear this to understand it? my fukking head hurts reading people's "another reboot?" comments.

they obviously, are going the Harry Potter route, he's gonna age into the character as they phase out all of the older actors. They're securing they're future. This is prolly gonna be a 7 film arc for him, from childhood, to manhood. He's their marquee character, it's a fukking No BRAINER!!!!

Marvel is transitioning into Film's being in the foreground and the comics playing the back. That's why if you go in the video game store, or toy store you never see X-Men or Fantastic Four represented. They are pushing their cinematic Universe as their main properties

I would LOVE to see a marvel video game with the batman arkham gameplay LOVE... Im talking pre order the collectors edition love.. Why hasn't this happened yet?

Also I agree with your first statement, I don't want them changing races or sex of their characters, it not fair to say you would be mad if they changed someone from black to white then be cool with it the other way around...

And I think it needs to be put in the thread title or first post that this is not a reboot, cause unless you have been following close you would not know this and avoid the thread for weeks like I did

But it is a reboot breh lol. Reboot doesn't mean they're going to kill Ben again. It means they're resetting a story with new continuity

Wanted to put him back in high school and think long term. Andrew is...31 I think, maybe 32, no way can he play a 15 or 16 year old. And if they're truly thinking long term like they normally do, and signed him to a 5 picture deal or beyond, then you want him to be able to grow up with the role. You cast a 30 year old to play a high school kid for 3 or 4 movies and when he graduates, he'll be in his 40s
