Yup, DFS and Brunson are Luka's BFFs. DFS has been untouchable in trades partly for that reason and he's a good culture guy. But it's been reported Luka went to the FO and told them to get better. There is internal pressure to win quickly bc I think there is some unspoken uneasiness about Luka's long-term commitment to the org if they don't start winning big.

It's hard to say how KD was going to "fulfill" his legacy.

If he stays in OKC he wins nothing, becomes a karl malone type player in history. So he goes to GS, wins rings, the fans hate it, but he wins. He listens to the fans, goes to BK to do his own things, this happens.

It's easy now to say he shouldve stayed in GS, but with him getting unhealthy hate every single game he plays, he understandably cracked under that pressure.

Lakers could’ve easily beat that with the two first rounders but I guess they saying fukk it and try to get him off-season if he don’t get the max deal he want from the Mavs. I’m fan of Dorian Finney Smith good 3 and D player. Spencer Dinwiddle giving you 18 points with shooting 40% from 3 familiar with playing in Brooklyn. This probably the best trade the Nets could make while still remaining competitive.

How? The Mavericks pick is likely sooner and Dinwiddie/DFS are much superior players than anything the lakers could send to Brooklyn outside of Bron and AD
