All true.

But at the end of the day, what can you do about genuinely backward, archaic civilizations that believe in fairy-tales and will kill for the characters in those fairy-tales?

What always gets me is we're quite literally, as a planet, from an idealistic stand point so focused on everyone holding hands and accepting each other. Maybe it's time we stopped blaming ourselves and call this shyt out for what it is.

We quite literally have COUNTRIES full of morons, basing entire life off of books by charlatans(i include america in this to an extent). That's the real problem we need to tackle. Then we'll focus on the details.

:mjlol: I guarantee you the bible and its fairy tales have killed more people than Islam.
Let us start with Christianity first.

I don't really give a fukk about this. :manny:

The Ummah!
My man i'm not disagreeing.

You say it's deeper than islam(and therefore religion) but you have to step back and realise that pretty much every problem or conflict in the world has at some point stemmed from religion.

We as a species have a fundamental flaw in our psyche. Problem being it's also what makes us great and has helped us advance. That need for explanation and answers. A lot of the world has been enlightened and realised that religion isn't what's going to give us those answers and it's dying, but the middle east/arab world(and elsewhere) are still living in the dark ages.

It is quite literally holding us back as a species. I really believe we're at a very important tipping point in human history with this.

And I for one, am not going allow any cop out answers, we have to face the real problem, otherwise we'll tread water for centuries.

Very weak argument. Blaming religion for most of the world's conflicts is a cop out. It's about resources, religion and ways of life are just a propaganda tools, only fools can't see through that.

I agree.

Crusades etc

This isn't an islam-hunt. All of it is toxic.

It's just some areas of the world are more enlightened than others. We're advancing at different paces.

About the dark ages tho what do you mean? Because majority of these 1st world countries are corrupt at the top level, false democracies, slavery disguised as prison system, institutionalised racism etc.

I live in the UK and these English people wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire dying. Supposedly advanced people but lack any basic empathy for things non white or English. They have the same tribal feelings that those middle eastern tribes in the Afghan mountains fighting each other.

The more advanced we get the more we destroy the earth. I just don't see any difference between these people in the "dark ages" and modern society.

Just saw it on BBC news. A good 5 months ago in London security was quite tight you even saw numerous police officers with assault rifles. I'm not buying this story it is a hoax to further implement marshall Law.

Nobody is talking about the real terrorism though.:mjpls:

US-led coalition jets bomb Syrian school housing refugee families

Syrian activists said that some 150 people were killed in the attack, and that the hike in civilian deaths is due to the US military relaxing its rules of engagement.

Syrian regime media, meanwhile, blamed US air strikes for killing dozens of casualties and destroying the school.

Officially, the coalition has said that at least 220 civilians have been killed in air strikes but the real figure is believed to be much higher.

The lion's share of the some 500,000 deaths in the Syria war - the vast majority civilians - have been killed by regime forces.

Half a million people died and no fukks were given? :dahell:

Interesting how when that Navy SEAL was killed, nobody was concerned about the innocent women and children that was killed in that raid. :mjpls:

There are more British born extremists than there are American and stats show first-generation immigrants are less likely to be extremists than second. So who are you referring to in this advanced/backward binary? :patrice:

Tell us your thoughts as well @MikeyC

This is worrisome for me. My nephew is going on a high school trip to Spain in a few weeks.

It's almost as if a lack of guns in the UK and only police having guns prevented this from being something bigger:ohhh:

Crazy how logical things are logical.

The gun laws here are mad backwards, you can't even have a pistol unless you live in Ireland or Jersey. However if you add an attachment on the pistol it no longer is classed as a pistol but a long barrelled pistol. You can have Shotguns for self-defense in your property. However It's mainly us that live rural that have firearms, people that live in the city in the UK are extremely ignorant to things relating to firearms.
