I can tell the acting is A+ but I just feel like Boyega trying to be Denzel too much, his acting, his voice.
I could clearly see from his mannerisms that he was intentionally channeling Denzel in his approach. :pachaha:

I saw this last night. I agree with everybody else about how good the acting was. John Boyega was in his bag, and deserves recognition at award season.

You’d be hard-pressed to find anything redeeming about this film (that includes Boyega’s acting). I’d be offended if I was one of Brown-Easley’s family members at how two-dimensional he was written.
