Breh that shyt is awful. It’s a 3-drug combo and the first drug just is a paralyzing agent so it looks like people aren’t in pain because they can’t move. But they can often feel everything. The 2nd drug shuts down your breathing so you’re basically suffocating and unable to react and then the 3rd drug feels like liquid fire being pumped into your veins.
2 guys in 2018 asked for the electric chair in Tennessee over lethal injection because they thought it was more humane and less painful according to the more recent science. Their request was granted too. One doctor said it’s better to be burned alive on the outside for a minute then be chemically burned alive on the inside for while essentially drowning multiple minutes.
Also pharmaceutical companies aren’t making the 3 drugs anymore so states are starting to buy bootleg drugs from Mexico and shyt like that, and the botched execution rates for those are high as well.
I know death may seem like an easier way out than serving life but it’s not. Lethal injection is a horrible way to die. Not to mention day to day life on death row (in most states) is way worse than life in general population serving out a life sentence.
