You do? I mean, I guess I do to but it is not for the reasons he stated. It's just the 2023 version of the proxy wars Russia and the U.S. have been fighting for decades. Politicians keep saying we have to support Ukraine because if Russia wins they will continue across eastern Europe.
That's bullsh!t imo.
So, if Russia takes over Ukraine, Poland is next? A NATO country? That translates to if Russia beats Ukraine, they will declare war on the USA next. An attack on any NATO country is an attack on all NATO countries. The same Russia that is struggling just to beat Ukraine is suddenly gonna start a war with the USA, Great Britain and others? That just doesn't make sense.
Exactly, they didnt even want that smoke at the height of the Soviet Union militarily from 1948 to the 1970s. By the time the 80s came around the US was WAY ahead of the Soviets in all aspecto of military technology, doctrine and combat experience and they havent caught up since.
I do feel like they're gonna take over the rest of the former Soviet republics though, with the exception of the Baltics. Worst case scenario, they regroup in 10 years and by some miracle overrun the Baltics in a blitz with pure manpower and then threaten nuclear war to get us to stand down (we wont) but they're not getting as far as Poland, Czechia or Romania ever again barring the total disintegration of NATO as we know it.
Thats propaganda to get us to spend tax money on a boogeyman, Poland right now in 2023 might give Putin the Fade in a 1v1.
The Middle East going up in flames cause of an Israel/America vs Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthi, Syria, and Iran war is a thousand times more likely at this point. Israel is even moving troops and vehicles closer to the borders with Jordan and Egypt, we dont know how they might react to a massive Palestinian refugee crisis but they already said thats a red line for both countries.
