cats are not domesticated in the traditional sense. they came to live with humans in a mutually beneficial role eating rodents. they were not broken and trained to be house petsI read somewhere that cats have only been domesticated for a only about 200 yrs...as opposed to the 1000 of yrs of dogs being man best friend......it explains their independence and attitudes very well.
They are still wild animals kinda
Drop a 10lb dumbbell from just 4 stories up on someone’s head broski. I don’t think you can tell them to “Walk that shyt off. You’ll be aight”Im not even going to try to wonder why the dog has on shoes but damn how far was the cat up in the sky to knock out cold a full grown man? My daughters cat weighs 8 lbs
A cats independence is based on each cat’s individual personality. All cats, not even most are like that.I read somewhere that cats have only been domesticated for a only about 200 yrs...as opposed to the 1000 of yrs of dogs being man best friend......it explains their independence and attitudes very well.

Funny you say that because the dogs didn’t become domesticated like that either. Wolves and humans hunted the same lands and preyed on the same animals. We used eachother, as many animals do in the same ecosystem, to be more successful in hunting food and survival. Humans often tracked wolf packs and wolves often followed human hunting parties. That’s how we got a symbiotic relationship with them that ultimately ended up with modern domestication of what evolved into dogs from the wolf.cats are not domesticated in the traditional sense. they came to live with humans in a mutually beneficial role eating rodents. they were not broken and trained to be house pets
except that dog breeds have since been selectively bred by humans who prized certain traits and attributesFunny you say that because the dogs didn’t become domesticated like that either. Yeah, not bred as much as dogs. For sure. But bred significantly still. They just don’t vary in size, shape and etc as dogs do.except that dog breeds have since been selectively bred by humans who prized certain traits and attributes
cats not as much.
that's makes a whole lot of difference.
