This would’ve been the biggest story in sports 20 years ago.

Crazy, I don’t follow the MLB, WNBA or Women’s College BBall, and I heard way more about whatever records Caitlyn Clark and whoever that chick was that shot the 3pt contest against Steph were chasing than I did about a pitcher founding the 50/50 club in a sport with a rich history over a century long. The first I heard of this was seeing this thread five minutes ago. :mindblown:

Ohtani still has (hopefully) 10+ more seasons left and been a beast since he stepped into the MLB. Bonds didn’t get hot until season 6 or 7 and we all know what he did to get better. :mjpls:

:dahell: One person brought up Bonds name lol. But then people felt they had to discredit Bonds. You're wrong about what you just said here breh...

Bonds won the NL MVP in year 5. Then he won the NL MVP in year 7 and 8. He should have won it in year 6 as well. He was a 3-time NL MVP before he put on any weight at all. He was literally 190lbs then.

So I’m a year or 2 off, my point still stands. It took years before Bonds got hot, and with help. Ohtani been something special since he stepped on the diamond in the States, even dating back to his Japan days.:unimpressed:

If ohtani can keep this up for like 4 more seasons then he’s the greatest player ever. Right now he’s the most talented most unique but I think he needs more longevity for that title. A few World Series rings won’t hurt either
