Baseball players aren't viewed as "having to win a ring" for their legacy... There's too much going on during a single game where you personally are not impacting it. It's an ultimate team sport.

That said, if Ohtani does help the Dodgers win a ring it will likely increase his popularity even further because while people don't really watch regular season baseball (besides their own team) they do still watch the World Series.

If Ohtani helps the Dodgers, he will run LA (he might have that title now. I don't live there, but it is cool to have LeBron in your rear view mirror)


Ohtani just needs a playoff moment or at least play well in it. Too many other variables can affect his ability to win a WS. If we're gonna do "legacy talk", Judge needs it more than Ohtani does.

Or imagine if prime Steph was the best rim protector in the league and averaged 4+ blocks a game

You could argue that Brady/Jordan are the greatest based on accomplishments but you really couldn't say they were the *most talented* over them

Ohtani is the greatest anomaly in sports possibly ever and there's no single-sport athlete that's even particularly close. The only chance you have at an argument for a rarer athlete would be Bo/Deion

Was working and already had Friday pto because was goin to keys for day then goin to Tampa for um game on Saturday.. some of crew goin to Tampa are flying out after and some goin to game then flying out later in week..

I saw dodgers were playing and thought they were goin to be there Thursday night or Friday but there was no Friday game and first pitch was like 4 or something weird..

It was a last second suggestion and I'm not a baseball guy like that.. if I knew dodgers were in town I woulda laid logistics a lil better
