The pressure on kd to win?

Suns are 5 seed and he just went to a team that objectively has 0 all stars this season. Absolutely no pressure. Just getting em a top seed with Book and CP injuries and depth gutted would be a feat. Hardest road vol. 2.

On the plus side the Nets still have some pieces to be competitive and win. But the fact that they had all of that and still came away with nothing to show for it is mind boggling. It’s worth it for The Suns if they win a championship.

CP0 is not good anymore, and they traded away one of the best 3 and D guys in the league. Ayton is still not all-in with Monty. Booker still dealing with injuries.

They weren’t winning with the old roster so I guess it can’t hurt to make this move, but this is far from a super team.

Sean Marks and Joe Tsai have to be the worst front office combination in the past 20 years, maybe in history.
CP3 has been playing really well since returning from injury. His scoring is not relied on as much anymore. He fits perfectly as a facilitator with this team. Ayton and Monty are good. The team isn't a super team but barring injuries and a few pieces on the bench they're a strong favorite to win it all.

PG - Dinwiddie (17ppg on 40% from 3 shooting)
SG - Thomas (On a scoring tear and 42% from 3)
SF - Bridges (DPOY Candidate with 39% from 3)
PF - Johnson (46% from 3 on 5 attempts a game)
C - Claxton ( good interior defender)
6 - Curry (43% from 3)
7 - Simmons (trash, but still a decent defender)
8 - Finney-Smith (3 and D wing off the bench)
9 - Harris (mid but shooting 40% from 3)
10 - Crowder (decent defender off bench)

Am I nuts thinking that this is easily a top 5 team in the east? I think people underestimating the Nets, they about to surprise a lot of teams, and they already gotta 10 game over .500 head start

Plus they’re not done dealing, they will trade crowder and possibly Finney-Smith for additional pieces or picks, or use some picks to get off that awful Joe Harris contract. This is a promising trade for the Nets, it’s just overshadowed by their previous big 3 of Harden, Kyrie, and KD

Stop making @surf sad with these kind of posts. You're only making it worse

Booker doesnt shrink under the biggest lights. In the finals Booker average 28 ppg and back-to-back 40-point games with hamstring issues. The reason the Suns havent won at least 1 chip in the last 2 years is because Monty has been outcoached in both seasons. He refused to build a wall around Giannis and play Frank Kaminsky when the team was getting killed with size. Last year Monty refused to play through Ayton when it was obvious CP3 was injured.
He’s had some post season moments, he still needs to show and prove imo…. I’ll leave it at that for booker. But I’ve seen ayton look soft also many of night. Monty is a good coach I just think he thought his teams were better and would prevail sticking to their identity… and that crowder and ayton would be enough to deal with Giannis…..
