Dude at my school plenty of black people listened to Linkin Park. Linkin Park was one of the non-rap bands that I've ever heard black people openly admit listening to. Add Limp Bizkit to that too. It seems like Linkin Park started the alternative trend that we still have today.
It was Nirvana, 10 years before LP. Black people actually fukk with the post-grunge more than any other type of non hip hop/R&B music. I was ecstatic when I realized there were black Alice in Chains, Three Days Grace, Disturbed fans etc...

Can't say I was a big fan of them but they had a couple of good songs. What's crazy though is I literally talked with a coworker like a week ago about Linkin Park as she mentioned she saw them live less than a month ago because she felt like she had to see them live once since you'd never know how long these bands stay intact. :wow:

Randomly mentioned Chester in the Raw thread this past Monday....

Looks like Chester Bennington.

...and I'd been playing old LP in the apartment for the past few weeks because my roommate and I were discussing how their first couple of albums were so good, they were able to go platinum off of remixed and mash-up versions right after. I'd just got back into reflecting on how important their music was in forming the friendship in high school with my closest friends now (over 10 years later).

We used to rap at the lunch table and do Linkin Park covers in the car. Won the talent show with our rap/rock band sophomore year. Some of those LP songs were the anthems of our childhood.

Yeah it's funny because I JUST downloaded Collision Course for the 70 millionth time to my new hard drive and started listening to it again, reminded me how sick their chords and melodies were back in the day. Ironic people are speculating his suicide was due to the new album flopping

Neanderthal DNA makes whites and asians more prone to depression. It's a fact that people keep overlooking for some reason. These people are not the same as black folks. They're genetically and mentally inferior and their global birth rate and suicide rates support this.
