Yeah I actually had an issue with this with Demon Souls last night. Died at a certain part, put the console in rest mode, came back to it this morning and I was at the part before I died.

It worked out advantageously for me, but yeah this is something they need to fix

Been fully shutting down the console ever since I got the database error last week I noticed a firmware update along with updates to MM and Astrobot this morning. I’ll wait and see here.

Thank you lord that I didn’t get the console early. I was actually going against my creed of not getting new consoles until after they have been out for a year. Luckily I couldn’t find a PS5 anywhere.

Also, i don’t think people understand what the term ‘brick’ means when it comes to electronics. When something bricks that means it is completely useless, nothing a firmware update and hard reset can fix.

For instance, the ‘Red Ring of Death’ was a bricked system. Having something freeze or having to hard reset isn’t.
