My local RL has been closed for years, but they’d fallen off way before then. The biscuit mix they sell at the grocery store tastes just as good as the restaurant.

Red Lobster is old skool. Hell most of their designs are bland. That used to be the top fancy pricey restaurant for the 90s and early 2000s but other restaurants have taken that spot.

Can you imagine telling a chick you taking her to Red Lobster.

They should close 25% of their stores and revamp as a mid upscale restaurant.

40% and adopt the Ruth's Chris model.
Red Lobster can rebrand itself as a "American Heritage Establishment".
Feature new creations by up-and-coming chefs.
Reallocate funds to change the exterior and interior of the restaurants to have a "classically-modern" look.
End international franchising.
Keep the favorites and rebuild the menu based on current and classic American seafood cuisine even if it means updating some recipes.
