...see the liars in true form. Paid off stooges. CNN Fake News

....I'm yawning at this, where is AU or ECOWAS...useless African alliance

ECOWAS is pretty much you guys(Nigeria), Ghana and Senegal. The rest of us can't really do anything.

I don't know anything about this, but it looks like the current regime is killing innocent protesters to keep them from protesting the government.

I assume the US and British don't want a shift in power. Turning off security cameras is the biggest red flag.

I'm just learning about this. What's going on over there and why?

I care, im just numb to African fukkery at this point in my life. I'm just telling you the truth. ECOWAS can do anything unless Nigeria calls it.

AU doesn't represent or care much for Africa.

Not sure about the theories about it being backed by Britain/USA. It sounds more like government being heavy-handed around #EndSARS protests... like a black version of Tiananmen's Square.

Twitter is saying the people were brought in on chartered buses by politicians...

As for the supposed media blackout, i do see it covered pretty widely across the mainstream media:
BBC: Nigeria unrest: Protesters 'shot dead' in Lagos
NYT: Nigerian Forces Fire on Demonstrators Protesting Police Brutality
CNN: Nigeria protests: Eyewitnesses say security forces fired at protesters - CNN
The Guardian: Nigeria protests: security forces open fire on protesters in Lagos

They even talked about it on Apple Music, Everyday Struggle, Ebro in the AM, etc

I think it would normally get even more traction but most countries are just trying to stay afloat during Covid times.

What can we do to help? Can I donate to any groups on the ground?
