Lowkey, since they already stopped revealing test results to the public, I wouldnt be surprised when they come back that they cover it up if someone gets infected, especially if they are mostly free of symptoms

They wouldn’t be able to hide it and it’d be a PR nightmare that they’d never recover from. It’s not like WWE where you can easily write them off for some time.

I'd agree, but with this much money involved, I just see the possibility and won't be surprised if it happens. :yeshrug:

The only way it could theoretically work which they won’t acknowledge is that all parties involved would need to sign a waiver shielding the NBA and venue from lawsuits that would be incurred if someone got that rona.

You’d also need to get media members on board with it as well depending on if postgame is open to the media or they had to do it remotely.

I’m not a fan of giving your employer that type of power, but I could see how it would be different in major sports with the amount of money made and investments involved.

No way should college athletes sign one though.

I think the fact we stopped talking about corona killing KAT's mom is foul.

I'm sure no other players wanna pass it to their families, either.
What’s there to talk about breh? The shyt is terrible for dude, but we’re at 300k deaths in 3 months

one of the biggest tragedies in our lifetime so far, and it’s still going on

anybody...fans players and/or execs wanting the NBA to come back is doing so out of pure greed/selfishness...silver said it best...if someone catching the shyt can shut down the league again then it just doesn’t make sense bringing it back

Same thing I've been saying and being called stupid.

Just quarantine the one guy.

:mjlol:

If one guy got it; where did he get it from and how many people got it from their and how many people did he give it to?

People forget how contagious this thing is.

It's not ebola, but, it's not gonna get one or two guys at a time.

They and all necessary staff/personal would have to agree to live in a bubble for probably a month before they can even actually play games. In total it'll be like 3/4 months with no access in or out. You want your family with you? They have to do the same thing. Think about the logistics that'll take to make something like that work.

It's funny because I've seen bruhs in TLR threads discussing how the Rona is devastating minorities due to lack of resources and healthcare, yet some of the same bruhs in here pushing for the NBA to start :mjlol:

Theoretically speaking, if they cancel this season then there is a high probability they are gonna have to cancel NEXT season as well.

Until there is a vaccine it will be the same risks.

We may not see sports at least until 2022 :mjcry:

Like dudley if they cancel the season that means players may not even get paid in 2021. So they are forced to play.

I think they are also taking a wait and see approach how sports picks back up overases.

I'm guilty of it to but at this point they're still in the brainstorming phase just throwing shyt out there and weighing all the options. It's hard not to react to every rumor out but I don't think anybody has a clue still and are throwing stuff out to see the public's reaction.

It's sad that this shyt has been mishandled so bad we already know it's going to continue to be a problem for so long. It's not like a lot of these other countries that have seen a dramatic decrease in tests. Like Jared Dudley was saying playing this year is just as much about preserving next year too since the same dangers will be present whenever they start back up. So I think they're taking the approach of the risk will always be there so might as well bite the bullet and go for it.
