And once Bron did leave he never matched his level of success in Miami in any other spot. While, we kept ticking and didn't go into some deep slumber like most teams after losing an all time talent like him.

The heat will be fine. Thanks for worrying though. :salute:
LeBron got a title with the Cavs and continued his streak, that he brought to Miiami of going to the Eastern Conference finals.
Then he left and won a title with LA.
What has Miami done since Lebron left?

They got beat by Bron in the finals right?

jimmy is turning 36
how many teams out there are trading young talent for a guy on his last legs?

only 5 players in nba history have averaged 20 ppg over 356 and that is malone, jordan, lebron, curry and kevin durant
Ok cool. So you agree with me that Miami shouldn’t trade him and should let him sit, because it’s ultimately pointless if we aren’t gettitn anything of value in return. I agree. Either we get value back or he sits. fukk whoever wants him for potato chips. :ehh:

Yeah, but what y'all are not understanding is that Miami would be ok if Butler were to opt in because that was the original plan and they'd still have cap space to improve the team so it wouldn't be a loss because initially, before the drama, the Heat wanted Jimmy to stay but just not give him a hefty new extension or new contract which would've cut into their cap space preventing them from getting better for the next 5 seasons.

Miami still wins if he were to opt in during free agency; the idea that he would do it out of spite is crazy because the truth is he probably thinks during free agency he'd get a big contract from another team, so he wouldn't take the chance of opting in without seeing the field.

Butler doesn't have any leverage here.
How would Butler opting in give them cap space to improve the team considering they're already pushing towards the 2nd tax apron and limiting moves going forward :mjlol:

Nice lmao. Jimmy is an a$$hole. He should be suspended and traded.

But Pat Riley has managed to piss off all his star players from Shaq to LeBron D Wade and Jimmy Butler. He also has burned bridges with several front offices and agents. He gave Jimmy no help during this run.

Both guys need to go their separate ways
This. Everybody talks about jimmy burning bridges but nobody says the same thing about Pat.

There was no “they” when Miami lost to LeBron and AD in 2020. Jimmy Butler put up one of the greatest finals performances in a Heat jersey while going head toe to toe with LeBron while Jimmys starting PG in Dragic was injured and his starting center in Bam was injured while LeBron had AD, Dwight, and size on his side. In context, Jimmy did everything he could with what he had to wjn in Miami. While LeBron basically had healthier squads when he was the star in a Heat uniform, Cleveland uniform and Lakers uniform. The one time he didn’t have kyrie in 2015, is often used as a caveat as to why LeBron didn’t win more in Cleveland. None of Jimmy’s running mates on the 2020 Heat or 2023 Heat is on the level of a 2011 Wade, 2012 Wade, 2016 Kyrie/Love or 2020 AD. :mjlol:

This is irrelevant and an excuse.
I asked what Jimmy had done for the franchise and I was told he elevated it and did better post LeBron than LeBron did post the Heat

That is objectively false.

Two years ago, maybe but Miami doesn't want Beal at this point because he's on a bad contract, and among most Heat fans, from what I've seen on Facebook and online is that he's another “Tyler Herro” in terms of what he offers offensively and defensively. Both are on bad contracts, but the upside is that Herro is younger and slightly less injury-prone. So, if that's the case, the sentiment among their fanbase is sticking with Herro.

Besides, I don't think Phoenix is even contemplating trading Beal. I think they're pretty committed to him, and if they wanted to acquire Butler, the idea would be that they'd somehow still keep the trio of KD, Booker, and Beal intact, even tho I don't think that's financially feasible; cap space-wise.

Herro's contract is actually really good
