I don't see how this negates it. If Rodgers gave the green light to shytcan Saleh and the owner picked the successor....why wouldn't the successor put his dikk on the table and get rid of Hackett? It makes sense. Saleh allegedly got fired for wanting to change OCs but he simply didn't have the juice to get it done. What's Woody gonna do, fire the guy he hand picked to replace Saleh for also wanting to get rid of Hackett?

This feels like a classic case of a gift and curse. Rodgers got what we wanted (fire Saleh) at the cost of Hackett. And I'd imagine the next few weeks will be Rodgers complaining about play calls, looking upset, etc while the team tanks.

If Rodgers does not turn this around. His legacy is done. As this will firmly showcase.

I think both of our arguments fit together though. Saleh didn't have the juice because he was already on thin ice, and head coaches only get to sacrifice so many OCs before they get axed too. Woody simply decided to end this shyt now after consulting with Rodgers. I think Rodgers thought getting rid of Saleh would save Hackett, but Woody (and the GM) clearly agreed Hackett had to go too.

Here's the core problem with you only putting the lies on reporters. Aaron and Woody have more of a reason to lie about this than ANY reporter and both are KNOWN liars.

Why would the owner have a conversation with Aaron before firing Saleh if Aaron is purely innocent in all this?

IF Aaron and Woody had a phone conversation preceding Saleh's firing AND they immediately escorted him out of the building without addressing the team? If gives off a very plausible idea that: 1) Aaron indirectly or directly had something to do with it. 2) It was related to a decision he wanted to make that both Aaron and Woody wanted to get in front of.

We'll only ever get half truths because those two have real motivation to die on the lie, but I don't think it's an impossible scenario that those two spoke, Woody made a decision based on something Aaron said, and Saleh got dumped to the surprise of everyone except those two. Their phone call could've been a head's up to Aaron, but I find that much less realistic of a thing that would happen.
