Shaq is a Coli nikka
Lost some respect for Shaq in that video, he knows he’s dead wrong. And he’s always talking about his Army sergeant stepdad who raised his to be of high character… Jimmy signed the contract he’s obligated to go play and give his best effort not act like a petty scorned female cuz things ain’t going his way. There should be stiffer league penalties for this level of bs.

Jimmy is looking to finesse into his last big bag and Riles ain’t going for it. Good for him. That’s exactly how a lot of these NBA teams get left behind trying to pay these aged out, injured and declined stars big money. I always say basketball is a game for the young and healthy boys. I could understand if he was still balling at a high level or even had won them a chip or two, but he ain’t and he didn’t.
Shaq had flashbacks to dealing with Pat Riley in 2007-2008.

He was same age as Butler.

And he got dealt on February 6, 2008 to Phoenix.

So this year’s deadline will be 17 years to the day.

:wow:

Jimmy has always been a dawg, I can’t take that away from him. However, I still remember a quote from him back when he was on the Bulls that rubbed me the wrong way. He said something along the lines of it’s not hard to play PG. You pass when you’re doubled, and shoot when you’re open. It’s that simple. When you take into account that Derrick Rose was starting at PG at the time, it made me look at Jimmy funny. Then around that time he was BFFs with Mark Wahlberg, and I felt like he was turning Hollywood.

The sneak cap alpha dog fight with rose. That was there and chicago. Of course siding with the cheaper expendable option in butler. Really was rhe first move. In the what i like to call the why can't i be the best rampup player in the nba, Jimmy Butler series that has all lead to now.

Real talk the best place for him would be the nuggets. As fsr as the nuggets having another do for self or die player.
that was bigger than jamal at pg in the post season.

Y'all really have to stop using "carried bums to the Finals" as a clutch. What did he do with talented teams? 6 years in Chi, and was in his prime..he was damn near 30 when he left, and they didn't do anything. Minnesota - didn't do anything; traded to Philly and they didn't do anything. Then he gets on a hardworking, overachieving team and now he's some world-changing player. Half of those playoffs series he was in, he was trash. A few of them he was streaky gunner...and he's still burned every single bridge. Bottom line, he hit the jackpot in MIA, and should prob be grateful.

Jimmy and Miami had 2 fluke finals runs.

2020 was the bubble.

2023 playoffs started by Kevin Love being dirty and running under Giannis going for a layup. Giannis falls on his back and misses games 2 and 3. He was severely limited the rest of the series.

Face Boston in the ECF without Ime. Muzzola was so out coached by Spolstra. Tatum and the Celtics imploded. Celtics and Muzzola relied too much on Marcus Smart.

Nah those wins the Heat had against the Celtics were legit

But to paraphrase I would say the Heat's gameplan to beat the Celtics was to make Marcus Smart believe he was the #1 option, and let his ego get in the way. Leave him open and take all the shots while they double Tatum and Brown. They legit almost beat the Celtics in 2022 in Game 7 using that strategy and it almost worked

That is why I was so happy when Marcus Smart got traded. Once Smart was off the Celtics, the Heat had 0 chance of beating the Celtics

When he was in Philly and Minnesota he took both franchises deeper in the playoffs than they’d been in like 10+ years the first year he was there

While his exits at all 3 have been bad, he is a proven difference maker in the playoffs. He’s like the reverse PG/Harden where he’s only decent in the regular season but plays up to the level of the moment in the postseason.

There is validity in what you say. However, the only reason Jimmy is in Miami is because he had issues at 3 other stops. He has made it clear he will show his ass and make things uncomfortable. Miami still acquired him, milked him for post Bron relevance and decided not to pay him AND to keep him around like they hadnt seen his movies. Thats on them. Say what you will about what Jimmy is doing but you cant say its surprising.

People are really sleeping on Jimmy Butler in here lol

He has a proven track record of success when joining a new team. He just wears them out after a while.

The next team he goes to will probably be his final and you know he's gonna have a chip on his shoulder to prove Riley wrong.

Certain teams should just pay him and roll the dice. He could be the difference between winning a championship and not. And his value is low at the moment

He hasn't a successful career in spite of not having a chip?
Jimmy is not a # 1

He cannot be the best player on a championship team

He is a #3 on a title team

The shyt he did in Miami was about the infrastructure of that organization

He cannot carry a team to championships

I don't know why people can't understand this

He's never been that guy
