Whether Miami thinks he's worth the contract extension means nothing in the grand scheme of things if there's another team out there willing to give it to him.

If you don't want to do it, then quit bullshytting around and send him elsewhere. I totally get it from Jimmy's perspective as you're literally fukking with his bread.
Whether there's another team out there thats willing to give him a contract extension means nothing in the grand scheme of things if they cant put together a package that Miami will accept. You act like they should just give him away for a bag of chips.

This whole post neglects the fact that both parties, Heat and Jimmy, should do what’s best for them. Stans seem to think that both parties should do what’s best for Jimmy
How was coming into this season with Jimmy on their roster in the Heat's best interest? His value and their leverage has only decreased and obviously they weren't tryna hold on to him anyway.

I’m not Pat Riley, he probably understands what’s best for his organization better than me :yeshrug:

It’s obvious that they’ve put themselves in a difficult mess, but perhaps they couldn’t find a viable trade or there were conflicting opinions in the organization or whatever.

What I’m saying is that their MO should always be to do what’s best for them. As Jimmy’s should be to do what’s best for him, now if they actually succeed with those tasks is another question

Considering he’s potentially an expiring contract at this point, that’s essentially what they’re going to get in return for them.

They should have traded him in the offseason when they could have gotten more in return.

Miami fans once again overrating the assets that they have at their disposal :mjlol:

That is essentially a bag of chips for a player of his caliber when others on the market have gone for more. That draft compensation isn’t going to be lucrative like that.

They waited too late to move him and should have done so in the off-season.

It doesn’t have to be lucrative.

An org focused on whats in their best interest over "who is the man" or whatever other petty dikk measuring shyt doesnt end up in such a mess. Nothing is surprising about what Jimmy is doing. So its in an orgs best interest to avoid this at all costs. If you arent reupping him and bringing him back that means you are prepared to lose him for nothing. Confident there was a better trade than that available.

Then something else happened disrespectful behind the scenes in December which I hopes comes out.

This match the timeline:lupe:

“Something happened after Phoenix visited the [the Heat] on December 7,” Skolnick said on Saturday’s Five on the Floor. “Something happened.”

I said as much long before that report came out. The story I got was ugly. Involved some other Heat players, actually. Jimmy was advocating for them. Has nothing to do with hoops. Riley's response was disrespectful as fukk. So Jimmy told him cool, eat a dikk - we never even have to speak again.
