i thought the nets were dumb to think bridges was a no.1 or someone who you could entice a star player to join but maybe it was the plan all along to make him seem untradeable so a team would blow them away. never thought bridges would go for that much or og would sign for that much but when youre trying to win now you have to make moves now or you end up having to blow things up just to get back into the position to make the move you were scared to make years before.

Maybe the Knicks change how they play next year, but the Knicks this past playoffs play identical to Dallas

Brunson and Divenchenzo being worse versions of Luka and Kyrie. As the only 2 players on the team that can consistently score off the dribble
Surrounded by catch and shoot players and rebounding bigs that are limited offensive players

:hubie:

LMAO at thinking DiVo is in the starting line-up next season.

LMAO at suggesting Dallas have anything like OG and Mikal on the wings.

Our role players >>> Dallas' - And that's not being dismissive of how good theirs are or how good a coach Kidd is.

Yo, the HATE I'm seeing through my screen is sending me to the heavens.

Leon Rose, my bro, I have one question

Exactly

Our top two guys are Brunson and Randle

Our starting backcourt next season is Brunson & Bridges

You'd be better off comparing Divo to THJR, since that's the role he'll have next season for the Knicks and that's the role he began the season having until Grimes got traded. I'll take last season's version of Divo off the bench over any version of THJR any day of the week

This is why I added "Maybe they change the way they play next year"

Because anyone with eyes can see that is exactly how they played this past playoffs. OG is a very good defender and Hart as well. But they ain't taking anyone on that Celtics lineup off the dribble. Similar to Derrick Jones Jr and PJ. And the Knicks bigs Hartenstein and Robinson are the same type of rebounding bigs that catch lobs with no post game like Gafford and Lively. Not sure how you don't see that

With Mikal and Randle playing next year the Knicks SHOULD play differently. But if they revert back to the style of play in the 2024 playoffs, it would just make it easier for the Celtics

:pachaha:You don’t watch the Knicks

I-hart is automatic from the midrange with his push shot and he’s a great passer

I-hart ain’t catching no damn lobs

You obviously don't watch the Mavs this entire playoffs right? Be honest

Lively is every bit the offensive player Hartenstein is, great rebounder like Hartenstein, and is a great passer as well

They run offense thru ihart.

But the lob threat of lively makes him extremely valuable too.

And the Mavs run their offense THROUGH Lively alot in the pick and roll. Lively is an elite passer, defender, and rebounder. And Gafford is a great rebounder and defender as well

I know ya'll Knicks fans love ya'll team, but there's other teams in the NBA you can watch as well

You're saying he makes decisions out the PnR like Draymond?

Yes he does. He is elite in the short roll, knows what to do when he's in the middle of the floor, takes so much pressure off of Luka

Hartenstein is very good at that too, not even trying to diss him. Just saying that Lively and him are similar

They front office has completely turned the team around in the past few years, the brunson signing was transformative for this team and some dudes out here still complaining
This. At best, late firsts tend to become mid-level role players.

Bridges is a mid-level starter. He's good enough to be a 3rd wheel on a title team.

Chris Broussard explained it better than me

- "The Knicks have to figure out the way they are going to play. It's not going to be like it was in last years playoffs, where it was All Brunson, all the time. Dominating the ball and taking a ton of shots"
- "Randle, Bridges, OG are going to have to be more involved. They are going to have to find a way to play like a team"
- "It can't be like the Derrick Rose or Brunson show that Thibs previous teams had"

This was all I was saying, and Knicks fans attacked me :hubie: lol. Not even trying to hate on ya'll. Just saying that Celtics have an easier time defending ISO heavy offense. This is why the Pacers were the Celtics' toughest matchup. That heavy motion offense confused us a bit
