Most people know San Fran and Oakland and the demographic makeup but nobody ever talks another anny other details. Ie the dmv we can further break it down to northern VA, PG, DC-SE, NE, etc.

Peninsula & Marin are wealthy w/ non wealthy pockets that are rapidly gentrifying. There’s wealthy pockets in every part of the Bay but the East Bay and especially the North Bay are more working class in general.

“Silicon Valley” isn’t a physical area per se but originally it referred to the South Bay & lower peninsula. Now it more or less includes SF, lower East Bay and Oakland to a degree.
