Yes, you're right, there are heavy sanctions on Iran which limits the amount of oil they export but, Iran still is the 7th largest exporter in the world and they export roughly 1 million barrels per day. If you cut supply anywhere, prices will double. Economics 101. Cmon bruh.
Last time I checked Iran is next to Saudi Arabia and Iraq Last year they bombed Saudi oil facilities and they locked down the Persian Gulf multiple times.
