Idk vpn wont help you if you are logged into your gmail account.

Remember google could just simply collect browser connections from their search engine to a webpage, along with search engine results and correlate that to your gmail account.

Even if you are masking your initial connections, heck they will probably be able to tell if you are using vpn or not based off of where your public ip is originating from regularly
Use a vpn from day one even with your gmail

What about TOR browser?

I really wouldn't mind disconnecting from Googles Tracking habits.

I would need to set up Outlook (which doesn't work with 2 factor authentication) ditch chrome and so forth.

What you advise Mozilla? Opera.

I may need to do this for good, I've been getting weird spam texts....
