1- ‘It’s a slippery slope argument’. Not sure you used that term term correctly bc, yes, that’s EXACTLY what it is. That’s OUR point
2- Again let’s go to actual definitions. Coercion:
Coercion: the act or process of persuading someone forcefully to do something that they do not want to do.
Synonyms: force, pressure, threats, bullying
Acts, or process. Acts, OR PROCESS. There is a reason that ‘or’ is there. Bc coercion does not need to be tangible.
You show up to the door in a wife beater….there’s weed in the room (DRUGS)…slow music playing ….that’s now a process. You are actively coercing her to have sex without lifting a finger. The mere fact that there’s a closed door can imply intimidation. And we haven’t even mentioned if there is a more than average size difference. In which case your mere existence is a threat. Yall better wake up
something like that would never get charged federally. but do prosecutors sometimes overreach and overcharge? Absolutely. But is it some witchunt to arrest men for having sex with escorts? No.
There's another case Girls Do Porn, that is based around this same statute.
